Pre-Matric Scholarship 2024 for OBC/EBC/SEBC Students
In a bid to foster inclusive education and support students from marginalized communities, the ST&SC and MBC Welfare Department of the Government of Odisha has launched the Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC/EBC/SEBC Students for the academic year 2023-24. This initiative targets students belonging to the Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC), and Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) categories studying in Class 9 and 10 in Odisha.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
– Be Indian nationals domiciled in Odisha.
– Belong to the OBC, EBC, or SEBC categories of the state.
– Be enrolled in Class 9 or 10 in a government school or a school recognized by the Government or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
– Have an annual parent(s)/guardian(s) income not exceeding ₹2,50,000.
Benefits:
Selected students will receive a consolidated academic allowance of ₹4,000 per annum, aimed at easing the financial burden of education and empowering students to pursue their academic goals.

4. Submit the required documents, including caste certificate, academic transcripts, domicile certificate, disability certificate (if applicable), and income certificate of parent(s)/guardian(s).
5. After successful registration, fill in the required details and submit the application.
Deadline:
The deadline for application submission is 18th March 2024. Applicants are encouraged to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.
Note:
Recipients of this scholarship for Class 9 and 10 are not eligible to receive any other educational scholarships for the same class. However, if awarded another scholarship for these specific classes, students can choose the one that best suits their needs and inform the awarding body through their school principal.
