Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Aglar, Shopian Seeks TGT Computer Science Teacher on Contract Basis
Position: TGT (Computer Science)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: One year (Session 2024-25) or until the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.
Location: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Aglar, Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir

Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Computer Science to students in grades 6-10.
- Preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback.
- Maintaining student records and attendance.
- Participating in school activities and events.
Essential Qualifications:
- BCA from a recognized university.
- Graduation in Computer Science from a recognized university (with Computer Science as the main subject in all years).
- BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Information Technology) from a recognized university.
- B.Ed degree.
- Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Competence to teach through English and Hindi/other regional languages.
Remuneration: Rs. 40,625.00 per month
Application Process:
- Interested candidates can obtain the prescribed application form from the vidyalaya office during working hours from August 16, 2024, to August 21, 2024.
- Completed applications should be submitted in person to the vidyalaya office during the same period.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email/phone on August 22, 2024.
- Interviews will be conducted on August 23, 2024, at the office of the Principal, JNV Aglar, Shopian.

Additional Information:
- Non-B.Ed candidates can also apply, but they will only be considered if B.Ed candidates are not available.
- The position is residential, requiring the teacher to attend residential school duties in addition to regular teaching responsibilities.
- Boarding and lodging will be provided as per availability in the JNV and as per NVS norms.
