JKBOSE Issues Guidelines for Smooth Conduct of NMMS Examination 2023-24

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released detailed instructions for Centre Superintendents and Supervisory Staff to ensure the smooth conduct of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) examination for the academic year 2023-24. The guidelines are aimed at facilitating a fair and orderly examination process. Below are the key points from the official notification:

1. Entry to Examination Centre: Candidates are allowed to enter the examination centre 30 minutes before the exam starts. Entry will be prohibited 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination.

2. Examination Sessions:
– Morning session (MAT): 11:00 A.M to 12:30 P.M
– Evening session (SAT): 1:00 P.M to 2:30 P.M

3. Admit Card Handling: Candidates without admit cards but verified for genuineness may be allowed to take the exam upon satisfactory identification by the Centre Superintendent.

4. OMR Sheet Management:
– Ensure all candidates fill relevant fields and mark their signatures on the attendance statement.
– Distribute OMR sheets for MAT in the morning and for SAT in the evening.

5. Question Booklet and Roll Number Verification: Ensure students write the series of Question Booklets and Roll Numbers correctly on OMR Sheets.

6. Sealing and Handling of OMR Sheets:
– Seal used OMR sheets of MAT and SAT separately after each session.
– Attendance statements should be sealed immediately after each session.
– Use three sealed packets for used OMR sheets of MAT, SAT, and attendance statements, then further seal them in a parcel.

7. Unused Materials: Unused materials should not be mixed with used OMR sheets and should be deposited separately.

8. Parcel Dispatch:
– Jammu and Srinagar Districts and adjoining areas: Sealed parcels to be deposited in the office of the Assistant Secretary, Secrecy-I, JKBOSE.
– Other areas: Send sealed parcels through registered post to the respective Assistant Secretary, Secrecy Unit-I, at JKBOSE offices in Jammu or Srinagar.

9. Handling Infeasibility: In case of infeasibility in dispatching parcels, retain sealed parcels in safe custody and dispatch the next day.

10. Claims Submission: Centre Superintendents must submit their remuneration claims along with vouchers for postal charges for reimbursement.

11. Writing Instruments: Students are allowed to use only blue or black ballpoint pens.
